Legal notice
The Atlas is a private, non-commercial fan project about the computer game EVE Online. No goods or services are offered and no revenue is generated. There is no obligation to provide an imprint (Impressum) under § 5 (1) DDG (German Digital Services Act), as this applies only to digital services offered on a business basis, usually for payment.

EVE Online and all associated names and images are trademarks of CCP hf. This site is not affiliated with CCP and is not endorsed by CCP. All names, texts and values come from CCP’s Static Data Export (SDE), the ship images from CCP’s image server; both are fetched when the site is built.

1. Controller

2. Principle
This website sets no cookies and does not itself store any personal data, not even locally in your browser. There are no user accounts, no forms and no newsletter. All data from CCP is fetched when the site is built, not when you visit. Apart from the counting script described under 4, your browser talks only to this website.
3. Hosting (GitHub Pages) and delivery (Cloudflare)
The website is provided via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When pages are accessed, GitHub processes technically necessary connection data (in particular the IP address) to deliver and secure the service. Details: GitHub General Privacy Statement.
All requests pass through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which delivers the pages encrypted and protects them against abuse. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data as a processor, in particular the IP address. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis for both is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website securely and quickly).
4. Counting page views (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To know how many pages are viewed, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare inserts a script into every page, which is loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com and reports the visited address and load times to Cloudflare. According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics uses no cookies and no local storage, does not identify visitors by their IP address and does not track them across other websites. We only see totals, such as page views per day. Details: Cloudflare Web Analytics. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in knowing how much the site is used).
5. External links
The website links to external services (for example tonicdock.com). Their respective operators are responsible for their content and data processing. The links only open after you click them.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77). Since this website does not itself store any personal data, please also direct inquiries about connection data to the providers named under 3 and 4.
